Kingsconstruction
Kingsconstruction is a reputable construction firm that was founded in 1947 by Cecil King, initially focusing on the design and construction of agricultural grain bins and buildings. Over the decades, the company has significantly transformed and expanded its service offerings. Now headquartered in Iowa Falls, Iowa, Kingsconstruction is recognized throughout central Iowa as a leader in various sectors, including commercial, agricultural, industrial, and residential construction. With nearly 75 years of experience, the company has maintained a strong presence in the industry through just four ownership transitions, which reflect its stability and continuity in operations.
Throughout its history, Kingsconstruction has successfully partnered with thousands of clients, including businesses, farmers, non-profit organizations, and private homeowners, helping them realize their construction goals and dreams. The firm’s commitment to quality and innovation has allowed it to grow its client base significantly. After the retirement of its founder, Cecil King, in the 1970s, the business transitioned under the ownership of Laverne Sharar. During Sharar's leadership, Kingsconstruction expanded into carpentry to complement its existing services, thereby enhancing the scope of its offerings.
In the late 1980s, Kevin Knutson acquired the company and introduced an Overhead Door Division, further diversifying Kingsconstruction's capabilities. The most recent ownership change occurred in 1997 when Lance and Lincoln Sharar took over with a vision to uphold the company's legacy while expanding its market reach. This strategic approach led to the opening of additional locations in Clear Lake and Coralville, Iowa, in 2011 and 2014, respectively, aimed at catering to the growing clientele across North Central and Southeast Iowa.
Kingsconstruction prides itself on its core values of safety, quality, and reliability, focusing on providing innovative solutions tailored to its extensive customer base. The company serves diverse sectors such as industrial, retail, agriculture, and community organizations, actively striving to deliver a seamless construction experience that aligns with modern demands and expectations. With a family-owned ethos, Kingsconstruction continues to build its reputation as a trusted partner in the construction landscape.
Payment applications generally include the application for payment form and a continuation sheet (which includes a schedule of values and change orders). Depending on the situation, you may also include backup documents like materials receipts and invoices, payroll wage reports, and lien waivers.
It's a lot to keep straight, and it's further complicated by most GCs requiring their own custom payment application forms, rather than standard AIA templates. Fortunately, Siteline has more than 8,000 forms from over 6,000 GCs—in our system. Our software streamlines the entire monthly billing workflow, ensuring you submit the perfect pay apps on time, every time, which gets your invoices paid about three weeks faster.Want to see for yourself?
